TJ,
Perhaps some "products are built by people
without trading experience" but I can assure you that there are many programs
which are "built" by traders, including some who are well
known. As in AmiBroker's case, these programs tend to emphasize
the trader's style and may or may not be programmable. However, in
general, their output and ease of usage are quite good and have stood the
test of time.

5.22.0 BETA released
Hello,
Because software design is not popularity contest
or beauty show.
The designer has to decide what is implemented, when
and how. Otherwise the software ends with mess.
You fail to note
that I am a trader too, as opposed to many other software developers, so I
actually use AmiBroker for my own trading and that was the primary reason
to write AmIBroker at all. AmiBroker is a fruit of my own thought and my
own trading requirements. Yes there are some features that I do not use
myself and I implemented them just because others wanted them, but it is
minority.
Other products are built by people without trading
experience.
Best regards, Tomasz Janeczko amibroker.com -----
