Yes, I already acquired this 'brief overview' from sites like that
and also did more than a cursory reading of WordPress in the past.
The site I put up was only a temporary 'free' site, to invite
responses, so there is no requirement for me to go to the next phase
(secure quality host, vandal protection and system design etc) unless
there is sufficient interest (why spend resources if there is no
demand and I don't want to consider design unless a project team
assembles and lays out a spec first).
Note: I actually expected little or no response so that is why I
decided not to 'invest' in a bigger production for the opening.
Yes, my IT experience is zero but in a team project it is the norm
for members to pool their skills (in fact it works best if people are
free to perform their own role without interference and of course no
one person can 'do it all' - this is yesterdays model).
Yes, if I want to do something I will go away and learn it but no
need to debate these points as the ATP is a billion to one shot(my
site is crashed already and there is no interest anyway).
Since there is no interest in a 'better' site, you were correct and I
was wrong.
Case closed.
On with the show (I am starting my next new project after a cup of
coffee).
