I called IB's tech support regarding the message I saw on top
of TWS chart
"Best queries are not supported." when trying to chart some
ETFs.
The explanation I was given: add/change the symbol's Exchange
to ISLAND for charting...
Use original to enter trades

Seems to work

Amibroker

I have not had any trouble today but there are some symbols I
can not
download. I get error 162 which is BEST query errors and it
will not
back fill about 8 ETFs I was tracking. This is an error on one
of their
servers. They are supposed to be working on that too. I wonder
some
times since it has been failing for a month. That error
started on 12/5
and more started to fail on 12/11. But the major indices and
trin,
forex and some futures are working fine.

I am running their latest stand alone release, 880.5 and Java
version
1.5.0_14. My AB is 4.90.5 and I am running on PX Home.

Make sure your computer clock is set close to actual time. I
think they
use the CPU clock rather than a time stamp in the data. I
noticed the
close is never what Scottrade shows or the OED value. I ran
into some
problems when my clock got way off and I lost data on some
symbols and
all of it on one.

Another thing you can try is displaying an analysis chart in
IB. If
their chart won't display it is their data feed problem and
not the API.
