RE: [amibroker] Categories Relative Strength

Bob,

I want to tie the ticker Name() to the MGXXX identifier for multiple
reasons. I have other data sources that use the MGXXX classification other
than TC2000 so a ticker list that will eventually be built from Amibroker
could be used in other applications using a different data source that does
not necessarily exactly match on industry names. It is much easier to work
with the shorter names as well and the shorter names will have a smaller
memory footprint as well.

Thanks,

RR

The Dewey Decimal System never entranced me :>(

Since the Industry Names necessarily map 1:1 to TC, why not just output
them [via IndustryID( 1 ) ?

I just hacked up a temporary solution. See the attached file MG.afl, it
contains an afl function that has a snapshot mapping of the ab industry to
tc
subindustry.
