Thanks for the feedback.
That helps me.

I didn't know you could delete broker.master like that or that 
INWATCHLIST does not filter symbols with no data.

I have seen Tomasz post about the former so now I have some context.

Here is another way that works (I checked this one).

Tools>database purify > analyse
shift + click or ctl + click to select multiple symbols with *no 
quotes* > right click>add selected to watchlist

from watchlist right click individual symbol>delete
or menu bar>symbol>organise assignments>watchlist>select multiple 
symbols>delete
