Ninja: I increased he number of bars to 300000. We'll
see what happens.
Graham: re FIFO. I do not see any missing from the
beginning, and nothing being added now at the end.
Hal: re multiple installation...I assume you do not mean
multiple INSTANCES. I have looked and only see one on the HD, but I open
several instances during the day. I hope this is not a
factor.
Michael: re "Make sure "Use optimized
routine for intraday data retrieval" is NOT selected". It was selected!! But it
has been selected since the start and only stopped things on Tuesday. Doesn't
make sense, unless that in combination with approaching or hitting the
previously set max bars of 100000 made it halt.
Rik: re "Have you
rebooted the PC?" Yep. Several times, including startup on
Wednesday.
Guys, many thanks for the
suggestions. I have made the changes I could and will eagerly await 9:30
this morning and see if that cured what was ailing.

I would suggest you increase number of bars in database settings to
see if it fixes your problem. You can set it as high as needed (above 500000 you
need modify registry) if you have enough memory and/or disk space.

Tomasz: thanks. I checked everything in the troubleshooting
quide, and every test says that QT is gathering data properly. The link showed
all the tickers and quotes. The separate QT plot screen shows 10min bars
(my setting) from 1 minute data. And I have the paid version so do not
worry about ad click rates. Everything has performed flawlessly since
Sep, 2006 up until this Tuesday.
Can you
suggest some additional tests I could perform to see if AB is not getting the
quote data from QT.
Thanks for
additional assistence.

PS: the
only firewall I run is the hardware connection on a hardwired LinkSys
router. Nothing changed there, no new components on the system. I
have been trying various new downloaded software, but can not pinpoint any
problems. Everything has worked fine. No other problems on any
other software. No crashes nor unusual behavior on any other
software.
Hmmm, the
database settings show number of bars = 100000 and 1 minute base time
interval. Have I maxed out the storage capacity according to what I have
set? What will happen if I change to 5 minute base time
interval?

RE: [amibroker] Urgent Help Needed re QuoteTracker
<big
smile> I paid the fee to eliminate the ads. Also talked with
the author of QT. All seems right with QT. It is
getting data, displaying data, seemingly caching data. It
seems that the problem is in the AB interface, but I am not sure. Now
have lost two days of data. Drat!
Any help
out there?
Ken
Have you been clicking on the adds in QT?

Hello: I have been collecting 1
min bars with QT since last Sep. All of a sudden (this Tuesday
aftere the US holiday, it did not receive or record any data. QT is
working properly and is graphing and displaying data. The RT plug in
is showing "OK". But nothing is being recorded in Amibroker. I
do not know what else to do to try and make it record.
Any help out there? I could use
info today to not lose two days in a row.
