Hello,
Apparently some other software (or virus?) corrupted RichEdit component
which is built-in in windows, or maybe your color scheme you have selected
in Tools->Preferences->Editor has the same color for letters as it has for background.
You can temporarily turn off syntax hilighting (in prefs) to find out.
