RE: [amibroker] CSI Data and Futures contracts (revisited)

CSI Data never answered my email. I'm sending Rudi a copy of this email.
Maybe he can give us a status report.

Rudi,

See thread below for a reminder. Amibroker can do futures and we would
like that data to be exported to Amibroker (and we'll subscribe to
futures data).

There is also a new feature that contains fundamental data, which I know
you have and it would be great if that were exported too.

Does anyone know if there has been any progress from CSI regarding the
thread copied below?
I'm writing to CSI direct to enquire, but would appreciate any comments
from AB users who use CSI data.

Cheers
Andy

If you are interested in futures, you might drop a line to

Thank you Tomasz!

Rudi, will it be possible to include futures exports directly to
Amibroker? Guesstimated time frame if so?

Data
Importance: High

Hello,

Of course it is NOT true. AmiBroker can do futures perfectly. It has
even features DEDICATED for futures traders in backtester.

The only limitation is that CSI EXPORTER (the one included in Unfair
Advantage) does not export futures to AB.

So it is not our fault - but the limitation of their UA exporter.

However, there is a workaround - you can either export CSI futures data
to ASCII or Metastock database

by yourself and use either AMiBroker's ASCII import wizard or Metastock
plugin http://www.amibroker.com/guide/h_extsources.html

to access the MS database and futures exported to it.

Hi terry,

As far as I know, AmiBroker does not support futures data.

Has this changed?

Thanks,

Rudi

Could someone who is using Amibroker & CSI futures data please help me

figure something out? I would like to subscribe to CSI in order to

chart futures data in AB. Specifically, I would like to be able to

chart back-adjusted futures contracts. My question is: Can I chart

back-adjusted data directly from the CSI data source (e.g. is there a

symbol setup for that)? If not, can I create the data series in UA &

set it to export automatically every night when the system updates?

Essentially, I am trying to ensure that I do not have to use UA to

view back-adjusted charts or that there is not something messy like

manually exporting the data every day.
