Tomasz,
The problem is Focus gets in the way of productivty here. Scanning charts
via a watchlist or section of symbol tree is an activity which is performed
very regularly and repetitively by many users and the constant need to
re-Focus is frustrating.
All we are suggesting is to have some defineable chart hot keys to quickly
navigate to next/prev symbol in currently selected list/section of symbol
tree. IMO this reflects the way the vast majority of users work. This would
also allow us to dispense with symbol panel when scanning charts (I know we
can auto-hide it but it still needs to be un-hidden and clicked before you
can move to next symbol).
With regard to the ticker toolbar unless I am missing something IMHO it
seems of little practical use in current form because it just gives
alphabetic list of all symbols in database (as per All section of symbol
tree). It is very unlikely a user would wish to traverse database this way
unless they had a very small set of symbols - most users will have a larger
database with an organised structure and want to traverse it in a logical
order.
