I agree.  It’s a red flag for me too.   I’m paying the bills, and it’s their system and policies that are causing me hassles.   While I don’t expect them to genuflect, as a paying customer I do expect a certain amount of courtesy,

your money  keeping them employed and it is their system that is
stuffing you up.
