Re: [amibroker] AFLSAFE Files? - Don't USE BETAs now - use 4.70.3

A few hours ago, I did as you and others recommended.

I have learned various parts of the AFL language  that I  extensively use very well, but I was reluctant to try the newer AB versions because of the many problems mentioned by Yuki and others when they tried these newer versions at the time they were announced.

I have a very low level computer competence, but with that said, I will tell you that trying various things with this AFL language of yours has been a great enjoyment for  me.

Psychologists tell us that a person's feeling of well-being is directly related to their perceived control of their environment.

With this in mind, I would really appreciate it if you would add an automatic reply feature to  the SUGGESTED NEW FEATURES, part of your home page which would send an automatic reply to the person who made the suggestion  when "YOU, TJ or Marcin,  ACTUALLY CLICK" on a suggestion that has been submitted.

I am obviously aware that you already have an automatic reply for the "SUBMISSION" of the new feature, but I would like to see a private automatic reply sent to the person who submitted the suggestion "AT THE TIME"  that "YOU  OR MARCIN"  actually click on it as you read it.  Ron D

Hello,

I strongly recommend to UPGRADE to 4.70.3 RC3 http://www.amibroker.com/download.html

By using ancient beta you are asking yourself for trouble.

So again: UPGRADE to 4.70.3 if you want stability.

Best regards,

I am using 4.56 beta, Professional.

A couple of weeks ago, Amibroker, refused to shutdown.  I don't remember the subsequent sequence of events, but I finally got the computer to do a restart.
When I opened up Amaibroker again, the various custom indicators that I had showing in my 60 chart tabs were blank.  When I then clicked on EDIT, nothing was there, and the name had reverted to the default name of NEW INDICATOR#xxx.
Some of these custom indicators were never saved to the hard drive.

I am not interested in using any of the lost ones again, but if I were, are they also probably saved in ALSAFE FILES?
If so, where would I look to find them again. I opened most of the folders within Amibroker itself, and saw no files named ALSAFE. Ron D

They are created every time you edit an AFL. They are then used only IF you crash.
It's safe to delete them.

These are the internal backup files in case AB crashed while editing or
whatever.

I've somehow created a bunch of xxx.aflsafe files which appear identical to
their xxx.afl counterparts.

Anyone know what's with them?
