Hello,
Precisely speaking they are created not while editing, but
at the time when you APPLY the indicator or press "Verify" button.
Exact procedure is:
1. User clicks "Apply" or "Verify"
2. AmiBroker saves a copy of current formula in .aflsafe file
3. Formula is executed
4. If everythign is OK ( i.e. - no system exception occurred (such as access violation) during execution)
then .aflsafe file is deleted
This makes sure that even on fatal error you always have a copy of your last changes saved in aflsafe.
Yes you can delete them if you already have formulas saved in other files.
Best regards,
Tomasz Janeczko
