there likely are more than one way to do this.
Here's what I'm using:
// Plots a 20 period Donchian channel
pds = Param("Periods", 20, 6, 80, 1);
DonchianUpper =HHV(Ref(H,-1),pds);
DonchianLower = LLV(Ref(L,-1),pds);
Plot(DonchianUpper,"DU",colorBlue,styleLine);
Plot(DonchianLower,"DL",colorRed,styleLine);
