Where should these files be expanded into?
Program folder or database folder?

Subject: [amibroker] Revised
Symbols.zip in files section
I uploaded a revised symbols.zip file..
Not 100% perfect yet..but gettin there...
File includes :
AmiSymbols.csv - contains name,symbol,Market
Number, Sector Number,
Industry Number. Market Number is as follows - 1
NYSE, 2 Nasdaq, 3
Amex, 4 OTC, 5 Pink Slips
broker.sector, broker.inudstries - matches the
numbers in the symbol files
Index.csv - contains some of the index symbols -
contains name,
symbol, FixSymbol, Market Number, Sector Number,
Industry Numberwhere
Market is 0 Index ... FixSymbol is a revised
symbol that does not
contain special characters such as @ symbol
YahooMappings.csv and MSNMappings.csv - contains
the translation
symbols for stocks if querying from yahoo or
msn
IndexYahooMappings.csv and IndexMSNMappings.csv -
contains translation
symbols for index if querying from yahoo or
msn... CAVEAT..These
files have three columns.. you need to remove one
of them. it contains
symbol, fixsymbol and translated/mapped symbol ..
You need to remove
symbol or fixsymbol depending on which one you use
to import from the
above index.csv
I'm thinking about creating additional markets by
splitting each
market into optionable and not-optionable.. that
is.. NYSE-Optionable
and NYSE-Non-Optionable, etc.... Let me know what
you think..
hope this helps some people organize their
symbols...
