I have had a similar experience
before. I was trying to read and
load Microsoft VB 6.0 and the help and CAB files would not load correctly. Talked to MS for several days with no solution. But here’s how the problem was
solved.
1) Downloaded updated drivers for CD Rom Drive – both manufacturer drivers and Roxio
Updated drivers. See Roxio web support site for Current Updated Drivers.
2) Still Had Problems:
Bought a new CD Rom Drive and all the problems were solved.
3) But, your problem may be that you closed the CD. Once that is done the CD will not be
written to or data added to the CD. Go Buy a NEW CDRW disc and see if you still
have problems. If you do the go try
step 1 and step 2.
Good Luck,
Computers are so..o technical.

CD-RW drive on WIN 2000
Any one know how to diagnose CD-RW
problems?
1. My Rewritable CD is not being
read properly. It has 35 mb written on it ... but system says it has zero space
left. I have seen this before and re-formatting CD took care of problem.
2. Now, my Roxio DirectCD,
CD Formatting utility, says the device is not supported!.
3. My Device Manager says the device
is working properly.
Anyone experienced this before?
Anyone knows of a good diagnostic
utility program ... Norton Utilities finds nothing wrong. Anyone familiar
with PC rescue?
