OK this is really my first contribution back to those who may lay
behind me. It is a small payment to those who take time to help me in
here and at AB support .
I have just been able to fully rig up australian share market info on
delayed 20 min or LIVE (if u use QT and have a commsec account or
similar) .
BElow is what I have done including modifying the ab IMPORT.FORMAT
file to cope with the XXX.AX in yahoos aussie database and the *.txt
files you need for aMIQUOTE to import historicals and SYNC up in AB
without the nasty AX sumbols .
:-) thanks to people here and SUPPORT in helping me with all AB stuff.
MOZ
CREATE A CLEAN NEW DATABASE
-in Amibroker goto files/new and create a new
database say d:\YAHOO_ASX
- create a file and call it eg- mauriesyahooasx.txt
- it should CONTAIN the shares u want to import
- should look like below format
AEO AEO.ax
AAC AAC.ax
ABC ABC.ax
ABS ABS.ax
ADB ADB.ax
ADZ ADZ.ax
AGL AGL.ax
AFD AFD.ax
AHD AHD.ax
....etc
- create a second file mauresasx.txt and format it
like this
- you need this to import into amiquote
AEO
AAC
ABC
ABS
ADB
ADZ
AGL
AFD
AHD
- goto main amibroker directory\formats and modify
the file - ,in my case,
D:\programfiles\amibroker\formats\ import.types in
Amibroker\formats directory with a text editor.
- note below yahasx is just a filename.
- now add below line in import.types file
MauriesyahooASX format (*.txt)|*.txt|yahasx.format
- create file yahasx.format and put in line
$FORMAT ticker alias
$AUTOADD 1
$CONT 1
$GROUP 254
$DEBUG 1
$NOQUOTES 1
- save it into directory of the main Amibroker
database\formats, in my case
D:\programfiles\amibroker\formats\
- d:\programfiles\amibroker\formats\
- open amibroker GOTo files > openasci
- select file type mauriesyahooasx.txt
- look for mauriesyahooasx.txt file
- press ok and you should see yre symbols now
appear empty of data in Amibroker
-OPEN amiquote and goto tools\setup and make sure
destination folder is set to yre database
- goto EDIT>add tickers
- cut and paste the data in mauresasx.txt file and
press enter
- now press source as YAHOO HISTORICAL EOD
- press play and watch amibroker fill data between
dates that you select
- when done change source to YAHOO CURRENT and
watch amibroker keep delayed 20 min time current
day times
