AH, that's good news - I specialize in such questions! When I read the introductory explanation of AFL and looked at the array of closing values in the example array(1,23 1,24 1,26 etc.), I thought it was set up the way one would view a two-dimensional array in BASIC. So when I didn't quite see why there were two numbers in each array position (separated by the comma), I just had to ask what the number 1 preceeding the comma in each array cell was for... Tomasz had to explain that in Europe, the commas took the place of decimal points. See what I mean about lacking fundamental knowledge?!!!

- The best thing is to zero in on what you need and focus on a goal, don't try to cover everything. Pick one or another trading idea that appeals to you and try to develop code for it. After having completed one simple system a lot of things will become clear.

Yes indeed - that seems to be how it's been for me. I have managed to do some coding for the indicators I favor, so I'm not TOTALLY in the dark. But the old dog is having a hard time learning newer tricks and functions. Sometimes I just get more frustrated with myself than at other times, that's all. It's a nice feeling when I can provide a formula or two to someone who happens to need what I HAVE been able to code.

Thanks Herman. I do have a question, since you mentioned it... I'd like to be able to create a text output "box" (or window) in the upper right corner of an indicator pane. Besides simply inserting tabs in the title line in order to produce the text where I want it (which I suppose is the simplest solution), is there a function to create such a text box? To be honest, I haven't even looked for such an animal yet, but I thought I'd ask first if it even exists...
