Ara,

I have to disagree a bit with you about Aberation.   IMO, it is far from a
"black box".  The system comes with full documentation telling you exactly
how it works.  By the way, you can replicate Aberation with seven lines of
AFL.    Don't ask!

  It is essentially a "black box" ... I tend to avoid these systems.

  I beleive a system has to be flexible, so it adds some complexity but it
  seems necessary to be able to determine your system parameters ...
