I recently heard the author of abberation make a presentation ...
I don't remember the details, but 2 things struck me:
1. Abberation was a fairly simple system based on statisctical work - That
is good. I like simplicity.
2. It is a "static" system, as most systems are ... and it worked well for a
while ... then had a period of poor performance ... Also if memory serves me
... it was designed for particular set of commodities only
It is essentially a "black box" ... I tend to avoid these systems.
I beleive a system has to be flexible, so it adds some complexity but it
seems necessary to be able to determine your system parameters ...
