Hi Graham,
I would suggest subscribing to Quotes Plus for 30 days and grabbing their
data(for about $30)...
Their data is broken down into markets(NYSE vs. Nasdaq, eg) and Industries
(Comp-Desktop, eg, for MSFT) but not sectors.
I am not sure about their 'adjustments', but if you want I can ask them.
I can look back at least to 1993 with this data.
Is this what u r after?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I want to download US historical
data for NYSE and Nasdaq markets. Preferably adjusted data for splits etc.
I currently just have data for the last 6 months.
Also the current breakdown into sectors and industries if possible.
