Fidelity Acquires Wealth-Lab Developer Advanced Trading Software
Fidelity has acquired an advanced trading software platform that offers a
broad set of technical indicators and advanced analytical tools that enable
active traders to build, evaluate, optimize, and execute sophisticated
trading systems and strategies with easy-to-use functionality.
Fidelity plans to integrate the software into its Active Trader ProR trading
platform this fall and will rename its enhanced version, Wealth-Lab ProTM,
for distribution in the United States.
The software, acquired from Wealth-Lab Inc. of Chicago, offers active
traders:
. ChartScripts - The core tool of Wealth-Lab Developer, this programming
language enables traders to build and evaluate personalized charting and
trading systems. More than 1,000 pre-built ChartScripts are currently
available for use or modification by Wealth-Lab users.
. Charting - Powerful, user-friendly functionality lets traders develop
personalized trading systems using "drop-and-drag" technical indicators.
. ChartsScript Wizard - This lets customers create ChartScripts by simply
clicking and dragging icons.
. Indicators - A comprehensive list of dozens of technical indicators
(such as RSI, MACD, ADX, CCI and EMA) can be applied to a price series or to
another indicator.
Fidelity plans to begin marketing and distributing the software to its most
active traders later this year.
