Templates store just the setup of the sheets and indicator panes in SINGLE WINDOW.
Layouts store much more:
layout could be called as "workspace" - it saves positions of all opened chart windows
along with selected time intervals, seleted tickers, chart sheets etc.
So you can have for example 5 window setup with different tickers selected
and different time intervals and different indicators in each window and all
this information will be saved in the layout so it can be easily switched via one clicl.

I´m a bit confused over the difference between templates and layouts.
Are they the same thing? Seems to me layouts are an enhanced version
of templates, am I wrong? Are templates a redundent functionality
from prevoius versions of AB? The above sentence from helpfiles adds
to my confusion. TJ, can you clarify? Thanks in advance.
