best editor for AFL and coding in general? was: [amibroker] TextPad Users: New AFL.syn file posted in the Amibroker AFL library.

Hi,

Well, I was just getting used to NoteTab Light as my editor, mainly because
of its file-compare utility. (It is also free, does regular expression
searches even across files; but it did not appear to be able to do AFL color
coding and is more for HTML than any other language I think)

And then Dave was kind enough to enable ConTEXT to do the color coding...so
I am trying that out. (It's also free, claims to do the regular expression
searches, but, so far I haven't seen a file-compare utility)

And now dingo enables AFL color coding for TextPad...I used it a couple of
years ago and liked it a lot, but it was not free ($27 I believe) and when I
upgraded computers and asked to move my license, they found no record of my
purchase...

So what editor do you all like and why?

And will it do:
    file comparing
    regular-expression search/replace across files
    AFL color coding

?
