While I've heard good things about TrueImage, be aware that it, and other
products that say they can do a "real" system backup while Windows is
running, get around the reality that files are in use and/or changing by
trying to buffer changes to the file system during the backup. This means
that if your machine is active enough to make lots of changes at that time,
you may run into trouble, and I think also that there's at least some stuff
that still can't be backed up successfully.
FWIW, there's a companion program to BootIt that does this too. See their
web site for details; they're a lot more forthcoming about limitations and
caveats there and on their newsgroup than their more public competitors.
