Mark:
It can depend on your op sys. In old Win98, I used xxcopy to a drive in
a dockable (removable, plugin drawer) HD, that was bootable after you
changed the boot command in the BIOS.
On my new Dell with XPPro, two things. Xxcopy could not make a bootable
copy, so I use Acronis TrueImage. Second, it was difficult to mount the
hardware for a removeable drawer in the new Dell, but their easy remove
HD mounts and their cabling within the case, makes changing the HD not
that difficult. That said, I so far am only making complete images onto
a second HD within the cabinet. I have a bootable CD that would put the
complete C drive Image back on a new C drive (or reformatted C drive if
that became necessary).

Subject: [amibroker] OT -- Hard Drive Backup
Hello,
I want to create and maintain an exact copy of my current hard drive
on a second hard drive so if the first one crashes I can boot from the
backup and work without any delays. I thought this would be simple
but when I started looking at all the options available, I didn't see
a clear best solution... especially when it came to software.
Thoughts/ideas? Thanks in advance.
