What kind of MB do you have? Many of them can take a bios flash for
upgrading the bios, and most manufacturers have a bios that will
accommodate larger drives. 80GB isn't even all that huge, today. I
have flashed several MBs, and if I can do it, so can you. ^_^

Some kind of problem with the CD, perhaps? Yes, ME is something you
want to get far away from. It's one of the best arguments ever
created for punitive legal sanctions against MS. ^_-

It's easy and painless. As another poster mentioned, there is a
convert command line utility. It works very well.

Hard for me to answer that. But just run all NTFS and get rid of ME
if you can. There used to be a decent argument for having at least a
small FAT or FAT32 partition on the drive, so you could get in easily
in case of an emergency. But there are numerous utilities now that
you can get that will allow you to boot into an NTFS drive, and even
make an emergency edit if you have to. They will also help you save
critical data in an emergency.
