don't think there's an error in the code. the arrows are there, they just
aren't visible at some zoom/scroll settings.
I'll check if vertical lines are less likely to have this problem than
arrows, but I don't know why that'd be true.
I hate to ask dumb questions, but do you have some special trick to plotting
vertical lines? the only way I know of is to plot a histogram at more than
full scale positive and negative, and styleNoDraw+styleNoLabel, but it still
shows in the automatic title text. what am I missing?
