Thanks Yuki! You anticipated my question
correctly.
I do see patterns with respect to the stocks I
follow, for the earnings, ex-dividend, and payout cycle. However I've not
backtested to see if they hold for more than this year.
Just curious, given the interest in dividends since
the US tax law change.

Hi Richard,Friday, July 18, 2003, 8:54:32 PM, you

dividends themselves are somewhatvolatile, and one of the five just went
through a period of dividendsuspension (a Japanese bank). But these
days it's quite acoincidence if I happen to be holding any of them on
ex-dividend dateanyway. ^^_^^It's something that doesn't
factor into my trading at all. I havesearched for some magic about
dividend paying stocks, but have neverfound it. There are some
stocks that share many characteristics ofthe five, including dividends,
but that I can't make any moneytrading. Best,YukiSend
