He traced the phone # and said it's 1.5Mbps down, but I'll recheck with SBC
before installation.
My Charter cable tends to download files at ~ 100KBps.
I don't pay for the.modem and it's mine after 12 months.

How fast is the DSL, Bob?
My experience is its limited to 256K while cable is usually more like 1000K
for only $10 more/month.
(I just got cable at my new address for $20/mo for the 1st 2 months and $40
thereafter, and $20 to buy a cable modem.)
