This is what I found about CMS and BOP. As I understand it BOP is a
substitute of Accumulation/Distribution and Cum Moneystream is a
substitude of OBV but better.
It is actually the TC2000 MONEYSTREAM that interest me the most
because Iīm a extensive user of OBV. BOP I becomes more interesting
if you take large time periods.
If anyone could help with Moneystream ??? Reading this below it
should be OBV but with H L C and ATR are
incorporated.
--------------------------------
"Worden's formulas are PROPRIETARY!
Example:
>From the TeleChart 2000 Help Topics Index
Money Stream
" The main difference between OBV and CMS is that CMS has a greater
ability to contradict price movement than OBV does. This is achieved
by using all of the elements within the daily price bar rather than
just the close. The high, low, close and daily range are related to
volume in a unique and proprietary way."
That makes sense to me! This is enough information for me to 'get
comfortable' with the indicator and run comparisons between OBV
and CMS. REPEAT:
BOP is Worden's proprietary Accumulation/Distribution formula"
--------------------------------
" The Accumulation/Distribution is really a variation of the more
popular On Balance Volume indicator. Both of these indicators
attempt to confirm changes in prices by comparing the volume
associated with prices."
Where is the magic to the Accumulation/Distribution indicator!
MoneyStream "has much the same objectives as OBV";
BOP "tells you whether the underlying action in the trading of
a stock is characterized by systematic buying (accumulation) or
systematic selling (distribution)."
---------------------------
> Accumulation/Distribution
. Balance of Power (BOP) tells you whether the underlying
action in the trading of a stock is characterized by
systematic buying (accumulation) or systematic selling
(distribution).
> OBV (On Balance Volume)
. Money Stream (MS) has much the same objectives as OBV.
> MFI (Money Flow Index)
. Time Segmented Volume (TSV) essentially measures the amount of
money flowing in or out of a particular stock.
