If you delete broker.prefs or reset the values back to 10 AmiBroker
on startup will 'estimate' desired value depending on size of RAM
installed (2223 may come from this).
You can now enter your own number and it will be kept
(until you delete broker.prefs file)

If you really want to keep cached data you have to ensure
that it has at least the same number of entries as the number
of symbols in your database. If you have 5000 symbols
in your DB then you would need to set cache to 5000.
(Caveat: if you increase this too much you may run out of RAM
and Windows will start swapping to disk causing serious slow down)

If your cache size is equal or greater than the number of stocks
you may run a scan over entire database - this will read
all data into cache. Now if you update your external database
it won't affect the cache until you choose View->Refresh.
