Sounds like the ME update caused something to occasionally grab the
clock timer.  A # of games used to do that.

BTW I'd strongly suggest dumping ME for 2k or XP.

Thank you very much Dan - I *think* I have fixed the problem. Sounds
strange, but I think it was somehow caused when I downloaded and
installed
the latest WinME update from the MS site. I noticed the trouble started
the
day after I did this, so just for the heck of it I went to Norton
Utilities
and ran WinDoctor, DiskDoctor and Registry Optimizer, and the clock has
been
right back on time ever since. I have no clue what it fixed,  but I am
not
one to look a gift horse in the mouth   : - )
