Glad it worked, Nick.
Re the "obscure issues", they may already have been in the QP db; there
is a lot of junk there -- such as VKAB10, VKII18, and the ZZZZ's.
In any case, I'd go to org assignments and delete them rather than just
moving them in 255.

Re the junk symbols, you can see them listed in the QP db via 'Search
for Symbol'; they return 'Symbol not Found' and invariably lack sector
and Industry assignments.

There are many other problems with accessing QP data via AB that I hope
Tomasz can address.

WRT these problems, I often feel like the poor kid down the block when I
see the attention Fast Track problems elicit--wonder what proportion of
the AB community uses FT vs. QP?

Explorations(Tomasz)

Bob & Phsst,

Bob, Thanks much for your input. I believe that explains how I lost
my stocks because I had recently done some imports from text file
stock lists ( which I hadn't done since I first got AB, and also
hadn't done since the last time I re-created the Database from
scratch)

Transferring the stock from group 255 to "Stocks" did fix the issue,
but since I accidentally tranferred all the symbols, I ended up with
a couple hundred extra symbols that I didn't want( the obscure issues
with symbols that look like Ham Radio Station Call-Letters or Light
Aircraft Serial Numbers), so I had to go through manually and
transfer those or at least most of them back to group 255.

Once again, thanks for your help.

Phsst, Thank you too, for your replies.

Best Regards,

Nick Molchanoff
