I think you will have zero problems with AB running in XP.

That said, however, XP is a bloated pig compared to 2000, unless you
are running on a *very* fast machine.  I have not upgraded hardware
in a while, still running a P-3 850MHz on a BH-6.  But this machine
is sufficient to make 2000 a very fast, very stable system (and a 100
Mb/sec fiber optic line doesn't hurt, either).  ^_^  XP on this
machine, however, is a dog.  Also, if you are like many users, you
may find yourself spending just as much time turning off the resource
draining idiocies of XP, and making it in the end look almost exactly
like 2000, as you would installing 2000 on the new machine in the
first place. XP has a lot of problems still, IMHO, including a large
set of them that stem from MS's secret desire to be your mother, and
to lock out any and all competition, of course.  OTOH, you may love
it.  Everyone needs a mother.  ^_-
