Nick is right... 

If you will "Disable" Local Data Storeage when using Quotes Plus
plug-in, you will eliminate the local database update time when
shutting down AB. There is no need to specify Local Data Storage with
QP2. 

And as a matter of fact, once you disable Local Data Storage, here are
some notes that I made for myself:

>Delete the C:\Program Files\Amibroker\Data subdirectory
>Exit Amibroker
>Launch Amibroker
>Do File -> Database Settings -> Configure -> Retrieve to rebuild    
 pointers

I had go go thru this a couple of times before I finally understood
what was happening with Local Data Storage enabled.
