Hi ,
I'm not quite sure whether I understood what you are doing when
saying "I run scripts to move them around to other folders ", but
certainly you can have several subfolders under your master folder
and import from them equally easy.
I know what you mean regarding the lists - this feature exists
already in AB for TC2000 and QP2 data. You link ( connect ) AB with
QP2 or TC2000 and select a list of symbols to be imported / updated
from the list directory in QP2 or TC2000.
But if you import from "Master" anyway, why would you want to import
subsets extra ? I mean, if the subsets are part of the masterfile and
the master symbols are all in AB, you need to update all of them
anyway. Wouldn't be easier to assign the stocks you want to analyze
separately to an extra watchlist or custom-market in AB directly - so
you separate the tasks of selection from updating daily data.
Maybe I missed something ?!
