Louw,
You do NOT need to write a script to relocate shares to
other groups.
By default all shares download to the first "market"
under "Markets" in your browser tree until they are reallocated . Rename
this first "market" to "New Listings". Any new shares will automatically settle
there and will remain there until you reallocate them manually to other
market/sectors/industries.

Subject: [amibroker] Import Script
Hi all ....
Please help again....
When updating from an ASCII file that does NOT
include industry ID's, i want to create a script to help me locate new shares
that has been listed.....in order to manualy locate them to the right
industries....
1. I want to set up a group under
"groups"
2. I want the script to check if the shares
in the update file exists in my database.
3. The ones that do not exist are
obviousely newly added shares....these must be imported the the "group"
created in step 1.
Now everyday i will be aware of newly listed
shares to enable me to move them to the proper groups /
industries....
All help will greatly be
appreciated...
Kind regards
Louw Coetzer
