Thank you, Tomasz for your response. That made perfect sense (since
I need AB running to access the AB object), and I should have thought
of that myself.
By the way, I always appreciate your kind, informative and timely
replies to all of these types of support issues. I don't say "thank
you" enough! It is really nice being able to talk directly to the
programmer. Right now I am obviously learning about all the nice and
powerful features of AmiBroker, but I think with time I will have
some things I can contribute to the group (scripts, techniques, and
so on).
In this case with the different workspaces, you identified one of my
reasons, which is that I have found my computer to have difficulty in
managing several thousand stocks at once. The other reason is that
my brother can maintain his database of stocks independently from
mine (with his own favorites, group organizations and data), which is
very nice. A third bonus feature I suppose, is that it allows easy
backup of the database to any location desired.
