10. DEVELOP YOUR TRADING RULES AND STICK WITH THEM

STOCK TRADING RULES
1. Do not buy a stock unless you know about what price you will sell it for.
2. Never buy a stock based on a rumor or tip! Never! Never! Never!
3. Research each stock before trading. Look at the chart, history, news, stochastics, market, MACD, sector, volume, price history, and patterns. Wait for the right market trends and look for patterns in the stock.
4. Stick with a 5-15% stop loss. You can recoup it next time!
5. Stay with the market trend. The trend is your friend! Watch how the whole sector is performing! Pick the best stock in a growing sector!
6. Don’t risk more than 25% of your capital on one transaction. Diversify! Put money in a tried and true blue chip stock or one of the top 100 stocks of 1999. Remember though- past performance does not guarantee the same performance in the future!
7. Do not get emotional about any stock or company. View all trades as a game. Decide if you are a short term or long term trader of that stock.
8. Know when to walk away from a trade if you have not had enough time for adequate research no matter what your instinct tells you!
9. Review any mistakes and learn from them and do not repeat them!
10. If you do not feel good about a trade then don’t do it. When in doubt- DON’T.
