Exactly, the data folder is essential. Just zip the whole data folder
(with all subfolders) and your database backup is complete.

As for the other files:
broker.prefs - stores preferences settings
broker.portfolio - stores your portfolio
broker.charts - stores your custom indicators
broker.sectors - stores default (for new database) sector settings
broker.industries - stores default (for new database) industry settings

Variable colour charts are possible in AmiBroker using graphNbarcolor
variable. I will include appropriate example in the next newsletter.
