RE: [RT] Download Free Elliott Wave Theorist (normally priced at $29)

Let me add that Glenn Neely's book on "Mastering Elliott Wave" probably has the most technical treatment of EWT ever documented.
I don't know how complex Tom Joseph's Advanced Get program is, but I'd be surprised if he encompassed all of the logic that
Neely details in his book.

Actually Prechter was using option spreads in that contest. In an age of what now seem ridiculously high commissions, he was able to trade for very negligible cost. Much easier to take advantage of market anomalies under those conditions 20 years ago. Plus since the margin on some of those 4 legged spreads is very low, the percentage return is very high. While Prechter is to be admired for many things and congratulated on his successes, trading and even analysis is not his forte.

Also the EW book was written by A.J. Frost. Prechters contribution was the social commentary aspects at the end.

I tend to agree.

I use Elliott Wave and thus am a proponent. However, I have noticed over the years for Prechter to get very stuck on his analysis.

I think it worthy of mention that some years back Prechter entered one of those trading contests, used EW and posted returns – if memory serves – in excess of 400% per annum.

He does know EW.  He just gets stuck from time to time as many of us do.

Bob Pardo

Does this mean you're not a Prector fan or not an Elliot Wave fan?

Just curious if there is a distinction, and if so, why?

Thanks

Prector is still around huh?  Every time the market sinks a bit, his name returns to the media so it's not really surprising I guess.  By the time he was right about the markets from the '90's, his followers had to all be busted but I guess there is a new crop now.
