Glad to get that info. I was deffinately wrong on the offical
meaning. My meaning of the word predict was nothing like that.
Thanks! I can see now why most say they are predicting all the time.
Now on your question:
Do we not declare or indicate pending direction or price in advance?
Maybe or maybe not. :)
My indicators show nothing in advance. They mainly follow the market or at
best turn with the market. So in my own trading I would have to say
overall that no, they don't indicate a direction or price in advance.
On your second question: Again in my trading I would say no. My
trading is only around 50% correct so price or direction can and does go either
way. Money management and stops are what makes my money.
But, by the meaning of predict you gave, it would mean we all predict
at times. And it seems that many predict most all the time.
Thanks again for the meaning of predict. You learn something
new everyday!

Subject: Re: [RT] Prediction or
Not?
Merriam Webster says,
Predict - to declare or indicate in advance.
Do we not declare or indicate pending direction or price in
advance?
Predict - to foretell on the basis of observation,
experience or scientific reason.
Do we not foretell direction or price, based on observation, experience
or scientific reason?
I think we all predict. Some better than others. Some based on better
observations than others, some based on better scientific reason than others.
But we are all predicting WHERE the market will be in ADVANCE.
If you are not trying to predict to the best of your ability, through
experience and observation, then you are GAMBLING.
Gambling - To bet on an uncertain outcome.
Hmm?
I guess we all gamble when we predict.
