Tim-
You pose some extremely interesting, important, and
complex questions. I think the eventual answers to what you
are
seeking may have <FONT face=Arial
size=2>more to do with yourself than Ira. I
do not know Ira; only that he is reputed to be a successful <FONT
face=Arial size=2>ex-floor trader (I think) who made his living trading the
markets. Your success and failure will be
determined by discovering answers to the following; at least imho.
* Is Ira's trading system compatible
with my temperment and personality?
* Do I understand; and am I willing to
emotionally accept the degree of risk in any given trade?
* Are my BELIEFS about myself and the stock
market the same as Ira's? (This is a tough nut to crack and there
are
nuances about this which I myself do not completely
understand.) Stated deceptively simple; if your beliefs are not
the
same you will not meet with the same success.
The following has been
proven. Successful traders have attempted to teach others how to
trade by revealing 100% details
of their trading system: concept,
backtesting results, bet sizing, entry/exit rules, etc. you name it.
Yet; for psychological
reasons (and the reason may be different for each
individual) very few of the students are able to replicate their
mentor's
success going forward.
Of course there is the obvious example of those who
are good at trading but who; for some reason <FONT face=Arial
size=2>or another; cannot teach <FONT
face=Arial size=2>others how to trade. Alternatively; successful
traders may have poor teaching skills. Each of us have innate skills
and
talents. Some folks can build planes and
explain how they fly; but are lousy pilots. All these are sidebars which I
don't
think applies to Ira. <FONT
face=Arial size=2>Speaking of teaching; there is a theory that one cannot truly
'teach' anyone anything; rather the learning
process is an inside/outside process. Indeed; the derivitave of the word
'educate' is 'to draw from within'.
I'm not a shrink; nor a master trader; so I would
please like others to chime in and tell me
where I am wrong and why?
Thank you.
Chas

Subject: [RT] Looking for information in
Ira Tunik
Hi group,I am looking for information and feedback from
people who have worked with Ira Tunik. I am looking for someone to
teach me a profitable trading system, and Ira claims to teach a simple and
effective method for trading anything. I thought perhaps this group
would be a good place to ask for feedback before I contacted him. My
only information comes from a friend of a friend of a friend who knew
someone who had worked with him. Any and all feedback is
appreciated.Thank
