    Very interesting. Many thanks
for the comments. It always make me wonder about these various claims made by
vendors, 99% which are simply false. I needed something that could pick active
securities to which I could apply my own indicators. A scanning program that
would select favorable stocks and to then  further reduce the choices
through my own endeavors. I appreciate your thoughts!

Back in the days of CompuServe Investor Forum, I was
threatened with alawsuit from Vector Vest ... details are hazy now but it
came about becauseI raised questions about the lack of claimed historical
performance due tocontinuous "tuning" of the black box models. I have no
idea if theirbusiness model has since changed or not, however your
comments suggest thatit's the same animal.Earl-----

discussing VV in a negative light a while backbut I don't recall
thedetails.  Anyway; the VV people threatened a lawsuit.  I had
also heardwhere some info haddisappeared from their web
site. The overall system might be quite good; but I wouldn't expect any
magic inthe way of consistencyor low drawdowns.  This is just my

depends on one's expectations and your plan for usage.Chas
