Back in the days of CompuServe Investor Forum, I was threatened with a
lawsuit from Vector Vest ... details are hazy now but it came about because
I raised questions about the lack of claimed historical performance due to
continuous "tuning" of the black box models. I have no idea if their
business model has since changed or not, however your comments suggest that
it's the same animal.

I think there was some board discussing VV in a negative light a while back
but I don't recall the
details. Anyway; the VV people threatened a lawsuit. I had also heard
where some info had
disappeared from their web site.
The overall system might be quite good; but I wouldn't expect any magic in
the way of consistency
or low drawdowns. This is just my sense; my gut; my opinion; which is not
considerable. (:-)
I think it depends on one's expectations and your plan for usage.

Hi Jack:
Yes, it appears to be. However it is a black box. As best as I can tell
they are using a Benjamin Graham based valuation methodology. BYW are you
still using CycleTrader?
Sincerely,
Rich C.

Anyone have any experience with VectorVest? Seems like a fairly
decent
program, similar to TC2000, but more advanced. Basically for stocks, but
any
comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
