That says it in a nutshell. But then, if the tech companies were really
interested in their US customers, they would not be shipping US
manufacturing and service jobs to wherever they can find the cheapest labor.
Collectively they are laying off their consumers who range from laborers to
engineers and accountants. Ultimately, the jobs will either be restored to
the US for political reasons, or US labor rates will be brought down to the
lowest common denominator. Even the poor Mexicans, who thought they had it
great with NAFTA led Maquiladora (sp?) plants, now find they are losing
those plants to Asia.
