I am very satisfied with Dell. I have 2 desk tops
and a laptop. The desk tops operate a lot faster with the same speed chip
and the same ram. If you don't have to have a laptop I would suggest going
with a desktop. Also heat is a major problem with a laptop. I have
had no problems with the desk tops and had the motherboard, CPU, and fan
replaced in the lap top. I had their in home warranty, next day service,
so there was no cost to me. They even had me send the laptop to them,
they picked it up, completely overhauled it, and returned it to me at no cost,
not even shipping. Have no personal experience with the others. A
friend of mine has a Sony Vios and has had nothing but problems with it.
Hope that this helps. Ira.

Group-
Would anyone care to please share their
recommendations? My local computer guy (I live in a very
small town) doesn't keep any in stock for obvious
rreasons. Would also be good if any members of
our group used Ensign software on their
laptops. That's my main reason for wanting to get a laptop;
along with internet access.
I've got the basic specs I need and am
going shopping on Saturday. I'm just
confused on what brand: Dell, HP, IMB, Toshiba, or the new <FONT
face=Arial size=2>Sony GRV670. Thanks group for any feedback or
experiences you can share.
