<span

are so right. The average American who finds it hard to make ends meet is enormously
wealthy by the standards of the average inhabitant of this planet. We are like
spoiled brats who have no concept of how blessed we are. If you have food,
shelter, indoor plumbing, lights, can heat your home when its cold and cool it
when its hot, then you should give thanks every day for how fortunate you are.

<span

we are all moving too fast in the attempt to accumulate more that we miss out
on the simpler pleasures that Ira’s post was referring to. And like the spoiled
brat many people refuse to take personal responsibility for their own life when
something bad happens. They instead look to cast blame somewhere else and if
possible find someone to sue over it. My how times have changed.

<span

the technological advances we have made, I much prefer the simpler times when integrity
and personal responsibility were more valuable than money.

So you consider the US a third world
country during the 40s and 50s. I have been around for over 70 yrs. and
could consider the US a 3rd world country today by definition. It imports
technology, exports agricultural products and is deeply in debt.<font

FAMILY=SANSSERIF>you can still find those conditions in most third world
countries.
Greg,
I'm confused, you mean when one trips over their own foot in a 3rd
world country one can't sue their parents because it happened in their parents
home????? My god, how backwards can they get!!!
Ira,
In my mid 40's. Thanks for the memories!
