I live in Southern Orange County and I visit the Vietnamese
supermarkets whenever I'm near the Westminster area. They are to
grocery stores what Walmart is to retailers. Salmon fillets at
99c/lb, and all produce easily half price. In the summer, I remember
buying pineapples for 20c each and big seedless watermelons for 50c
each. Once you've experienced it, you realize that there's still
plenty of room for food deflation.
