Buy a used copy 
of TS2000i, subscribe to the Omega-list, allocate about 20-40 hours to review 
all of the archived messages.....as
therein contains 
the "real" technical documentation on the product.
Then set aside 
about 4 hours per week to keep up with new findings of bugs, problems, etc. from 
the list.
Then learn C++ 
and COM+ and the developer's API so you can enhance and further the 
featureset...
